Buffalo Jr. Sabres Announce OJHL Restructuring

Buffalo, NY — The Buffalo Jr. Sabres OJHL Junior A team today announced a strategic restructuring of its hockey operations leadership.
Stepping into the role of Head Coach is Dylan Seitz, who has been an integral part of the program and is well regarded for his player-focused coaching approach, strong communication skills, and commitment to development and performance. Seitz was previously on staff as an assistant before stepping away from the program to continue his own development. After spending the last year with the Niagara Ice Dogs of the OHL, Seitz will lead the team on the ice beginning with the upcoming season.
As part of this transition, Sean Wallace will remain General Manager, moving from his previous role as Head Coach. Wallace has been a key figure in the Jr. Sabres organization and brings extensive experience, leadership, and a deep understanding of player development to the general manager position.
Michael Benedict will continue in his role as Associate Head Coach, providing continuity, experience, and valuable support to the coaching staff and players alike.
“We are excited about the direction of our program with these changes,” said club president Patrick Kaleta. “Sean’s transition to General Manager allows us to fully leverage his vision and leadership at the organizational level, while Dylan’s promotion ensures consistency in our culture and on-ice standards. Michael’s continued presence is key to maintaining stability and accountability within our coaching staff.”
The Buffalo Jr. Sabres remain committed to developing high-character players, competing at a high level in the OJHL, and providing athletes with pathways to higher levels of hockey and education.
Further updates and offseason information will be shared in the coming weeks.
