Nikolas Young Commits to Clarkson University

Nikolas Young, a player on the Buffalo Junior Sabres 16U team, has announced his commitment to Clarkson University. Young, a 6'0", 160 pound defenseman from North Collins, NY, finished off a strong year with the 16U team as a key player leading them to the state finals. Nik finished the season with 10 goals and 35 assists for 45 points. "Nik took huge strides in his two years with the Jr. Sabres program," coach Cos Polino said. "It was only a matter of time that a college offer would come his way. He was a huge piece to our team both as a leader and as a competitor." Young served as an assistant captain for the team this season.

Young also spent time this season practicing and playing with the Northeast Generals of the NAHL and the Lincoln Stars of the USHL.

"I am honored to announce my commitment to play Division 1 college hockey at Clarkson University. I would like to thank my coaches, friends and most importantly my family for helping me on my journey," said Nikolas Young.
